It is Day Three and Collaboration is King!!!
July 7th, 2016
It is day three and finally I have had a day with videos that make me well up...well, until Enrique that is...honestly when his mum says that he told his parents to be quiet and then apologised to them all with his new assistive technology it was amazingly moving...luckily I had Joanne with me so I pretended to be strong...she probably noticed the sniffling though...
Speaking of the fabulous, talented, lovely Joanne (I kinda like her in case I am being to subtle), we got to partners today. As we worked with the technology, which overwhelming in its simplicity, ease of use and accessibility, I was left feeling so grateful to have this awesome colleague at my side. The technology is amazing but having a collaborative partner to bounce ideas around with evolved my thinking and enriched the final product. It really spoke to the power and potential of teams that are focused on programming to meet student needs.
In the interest of honest exchanges I should also mention that Joanne did bring me a cookie...this may have coloured my positive feelings about her and the day...so, I guess I can be bought...my price is a chocolate chip cookie...
Ah... thank you :) I too wrote on collaboration and cookies, but included your almonds and how together they made a better snack that alone. It was a blessing to be working with you as I know that together was way better than me alone. What a great take away on collaboration. Reminded me that students working in teams can gain the same zest for an activity and also how powerful hands on learning is. I truly appreciate you and today's class.
ReplyDeleteI feel like there may be a joke waiting to be made about you being sweet and me being nuts (based on snacks...and all evidence to this point). Your are a wonderful person to collaborate with and look forward to any opportunity to pick your beautiful and sweet brain.
DeleteHa! You gals are hilarious! I love that you're having so much fun and learning even more😁
